FOREVER.........
Forever………………
Can you comprehend it?
I have been thinking a lot about it lately. My soul and everyone else's soul will be in eternity forever. We think of eternity as describing the term "forever" but in the biblical sense it is really a realm of being not an adjective to describe time.
God lives in "eternity" it has no beginning and no end, we humans use the term "forever" because we have not seen eternity for ourselves.
If we got a glimpse of what really awaits us in eternity, would we change our mind about how we act and what we do in this life? The answer is yes. The bible does give CLEAR direction to what awaits us.
I have heard many people say well if God wanted us to be with him why does he not show himself or tell us. He actually did….think about it…
He sent Jesus and gave His written word through the bible. God has given us literally thousands of years to learn about Him and find Christ. And to accept Jesus.
Why and how God manifests himself is not the issue, the issue at hand is that he does it because His ways are higher than our ways, so He does not do things the way we think He should, He does them that way because He is God and he is good and smart.
After I accepted Jesus I could not believe I had resisted God all those years when He kept calling me to him. Through trials and tribulation I blamed him, but in reality it was supposed to make me hit my knees searching for Him.
I think a lot about death to. Morbid, maybe, but a true reality none the less. Does not acknowledging something make it less of a reality? Not in this case. We will all experience physical death, but when you accept Christ you will have spiritual eternal life. Thinking about death is unpleasant, but just because something is unpleasant does not mean it is not a reality in which we must face. Dishes, laundry, garbage are all unpleasant but we have to face them. We believe these things exist because we have experienced them with our natural senses so we know they are "real", unpleasant but "real".
The problem with the human race is this is how we think, if we can "see" it then it's real, and anything we cannot see just does not exist. Thus our faith is distorted into thinking that anything that we cannot see with our natural eyes just really is not there, and the theory of forever in hell, well it was made up to scare us into acting a certain way.
Well I have news for you. That is one of the biggest lies Satan has used to get us to believe that we can die and nothing bad will happen if we don't accept Christ. Thus, we have lost an urgency to tell our family, friends and neighbors about Christ.
I think about some of my friends and family and if I will see them again or not. If they were born again Christians, believing in Christ for their salvation, then the answer is yes and my heart rejoices at that, but if the answer is no my heart is quick to sadness. Then the reality of "forever" really sets in. And I have a hard time with wrapping my mind around the concept and reality that I just might not never, ever see some of friends and family if they did not accept Christ. It is a harsh reality that sometimes I can't stand to even think about. I am just distraught over it.
Hell…..that is the reality awaiting those you do not become born again of God's spirit through his son Jesus. Hell was not created for humans it was created for the ones that were disobedient to Him. But our disobedience of not accepting Christ and learning to love and follow God through Christ will land us right there…Hell…..
I have read about people who God allowed to go there so we could get a glimpse of what it really is. And it is a horrible, horrible place. If you don't really think it exist. Read the book "23 Minutes in Hell" by Bill Wiese. It is terrifying. And I am heart sick to know that if a person does not accept Christ that is where they will go. Separated from God and all the ones that they love, "forever". There is no turning back or getting out of it. You are stuck there, tortured, tormented day and night.
My heart struggles with this and I think about the possibility that some of my friends and family may have gone to this awful place because of their decision not to accept Christ. And yes it makes me heart sick to think about it. I want everyone to really take true inventory of themselves. It is fun??? No it's not at all. You will come face to face with the reality that you really have to choose one side or the other, and by not making a choice the default is hell.
I struggle with how to talk to my friends and family about this issue, without them thinking I am judging them. But the reality is that I am not the one judging, I am sharing, the message of God's word is judging their hearts and motives that is why they feel judged. Because the holy spirit came to convict the world of sin, so they start to feel conviction (judgment) by the holy spirit when the word of God comes on the scene and they reject it because it makes them feel uncomfortable and goes against the worldly thinking of being a good person saves you.
I know that my friends and family as they read this will be thinking, who is she to make statements like this, the fact of the matter is that it's not my self righteousness that makes me right with God it is believing in the righteousness of Jesus that makes me and everyone else right with God and confessing with my mouth and believing in my hear the Jesus rose from the dead. That is the only way to spend eternity in Heaven and not eternity in hell. Realizing that when we have committed just one sin no matter the size, sin is sin to God. And just one sin makes us guilty before Him, and thus we can't earn our way into heaven by our own righteousness, but only through Jesus’ righteousness is this obtained. We are not saved by our good works, we are saved for good works. What does that mean? God expects us to manifest His love towards others in the outward workings of our everyday lives to show and tell people how good he is. Now let us not confuse good with our circumstances. If our circumstances are bad it does not mean God is not good.
Circumstance does not indicate God's character.
I know people struggle with the theory, well if God is so good why did He create hell. He did not create that place initially. Satan forced him to create that place because Satan got kicked out of heaven, not to be allowed back in, so God had to create a place for Satan to be put into for his disobedience to God. Because God is holy and sin has no place in heaven so when Satan sinned he got kicked out instantly, and was sent to earth like a bolt of lightning, and thus started this rivalry for the hearts of the human race.
Why God created it is not really the issue at the moment. The issue is we the human race, all of us, have a choice to make.
I am here to sound the alarm, like the watchman on the tower. Like the sirens that go off during a natural disaster.
Well if no one stands up and sounds the supernatural alarm to let you know a supernatural disaster is coming, how will you know?
So here it is I am sounding the alarm. Incline your ear to hear and who has ears let them hear.
Who and what are you going to choose?
Because your choice will be forever…………….
